I’m Chevaun, I’ve been married to my husband, Mark, for 9 years this September and spend my days raising three beautiful kids, Hadassah, Serayah and Rapha. Pastoring alongside my INCREDIBLE Husband in the Capricorn region and studying (very slowly I might add) a Bachelor of Ministry

I truly believe we are all called to influence our world and a simple yet significant way to do this is through the conversations that we have. There are NO Empty words!! Something about me… I LOVE words I love conversations, you could even say i’m obsessed!! I love to read them, write them, hear them, use them and continually learn them!! if you haven’t guessed it already I am a words of affirmation kinda girl.

A bit about ME and my journey…
13 years ago, I rededicated my life to Jesus.

I remember from a very young age encountering God, His Goodness and His Grace. There was nothing quite like it. However, through the many ups and downs that life brought my way, at 15 years old I found myself walking through the doors of church once again. I couldn’t explain it but there was such hope. I encountered God in a way I had never experienced before, a real, authentic way that completely wrecked me.

Without a doubt, it was the best decision I’ve ever made. It wasn’t the theological sermon that the Pastor brought that Sunday (even though I’m sure it was brilliant) but it was the people that greeted me, that followed me up, that discipled me and who did the journey beside me. People matter over the process, it really was the simple things that were significant.

There’s a song written by Hillsong it’s called ‘as you find me.’  I am so grateful that God loves us just as we are, just as He finds us. He doesn’t leave us there by all means, but It doesn’t matter how bruised, how broken, how messy or how chaotic your life is. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you’ve been or what you’ve done there is absolutely nothing that can separate you from Gods love.

How powerful! I remember looking back and seeing the evidence of God all over my life, even when I had walked away from Him. Even before we had given God a thought, He had already given us His every best. Now, there’s no second guessing for me! I love people!! I love doing the journey with others, I love cheering louder for them, celebrating their wins and being there in the moments I love seeing people find God, find truth.

 I love being involved in something bigger than just me, my family and I are extremely blessed! I truly believe there is an art of doing things well in every season and situation you experience. So, through my blogs, my aim is to share and reflect on things I’ve learnt and encourage you.

My mum often says, even now…Chevaun, Put your big girl pants on! I used to hate hearing those words. But sometimes that’s exactly what you’ve got to do, especially if you want to do things well!!! We need to be strong, take ownership, take some initiative, pick ourselves up and go again.
